Noble (edel) and white (weiss), it is the emblem of Alpine guides and has been a protected species for almost 150 years. The Swiss national flower wraps around the writing instrument, instantly becoming an icon of the Varius range.
Boasting refined and noble decoration, the Varius Edelweiss Limited Edition embodies the art of combining noble materials with a high level of technicality. Covered in Swiss beechwood engraved on two levels, it delicately and authentically reveals the edelweiss’s leaves. Its delicate nature is emphasised by the white flowers standing proud above the hollowed leaves. The natural wood grain gives each pen a distinctive beauty.
Result of meticulous work, the Varius Edelweiss Limited Edition is covered with a bed of pristine edelweiss, hand-lacquered by our in-house craftsmen. At the heart of each flower the heads are represented by seven golden studs, delicately applied one by one. This extraordinarily precise work lends the writing instrument its unique sophistication.
The Varius Edelweiss Limited Edition consists of 1,784 pieces in reference to the date on which the name “edelweiss” was first given. Using the most delicate of techniques, it is engraved with “1 in 1784”. Refined, each instrument boasts a silver-plated, rhodium-coated finish and is topped off with a white button.
Each of the 1,784 pieces in the Varius Edelweiss Limited Edition has been placed in a blue case with an embossed white interior bearing the pattern of the edelweiss and the Matterhorn. Each writing instrument is accompanied by a grained calfskin leather case in an exclusive matching colour.
